Day 4 (Part 2) Red Brick Warehouses and World Porters

These buildings were originally customs buildings used by the port in the early 1900's. They were recently converted into shops and restaurants.

I was starving after my long walk, and I was CRAVING eggs. I stopped into a Hawaiian/Polynesian themed restaurant. I had a Kalua pork, tomato, and spinach "omelette." The fillings were actually underneath my round egg disk. Interesting take on an omelette. For my side I opted to try the pancakes. My waitress in her limited English asked if I wanted whip, I wasn't sure, but she seemed really excited about it, so I agreed. HOLY MOTHER OF WHIPPED CREAM! We're talking a 6in tower of cream here people. And it was soooo good. I topped my little pancakes with guava (I think?) and coconut syrup. It was a little Luau in my mouth! Oh and it was pretty exciting that they had Heinz ketchup.

Let's fast forward to after dinner when Ethan and I did a little shopping in the World Porters Mall. Each floor of the mall is a different theme. Floor 1 is Hawaiian themed. Floor 2 is like an Ikea, not sure of the theme? Floor 3 is children's themed. Floor 4 is for young adults. Floor 5 is New York (Broadway?) themed and has a movie theater and arcade.

I'm not sure what the Moomin are, but I love it! They're so cute!

All about the safety. Don't squish your fingers in the elevator doors.

Wedding Kimono

Cake vending machine?

Lego store shenanigans

Why are the tires so big?

Everything is so ridiculously squishy and adorable and I just want to take EVERYTHING home with me! "IT'S SO FLUFFY I COULD DIE!!!!!"

This is a serious thing.

Ethan was excited by the wall of Haribo

Trying to win free mushroom chocolates

Trying to win a giant fluffy bunny. I had it in the claw, and when it dropped into the collection slot it's giant head hit the side and flipped back into the pit.

I was more than a little sad. I wasn't allowed to play again. Silly husband being frugal.
